Alyson maintains a broad civil litigation practice, with a focus on advising and defending institutional clients, including municipalities, school boards and the police in all manner of claims.

Alyson has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, Federal Court, and Federal Court of Appeal, along with several administrative tribunals. She has experience litigating a variety of civil and administrative proceedings, including class actions, applications for judicial review and negligence claims.

Prior to joining BLG, Alyson was litigation counsel at the Department of Justice. During law school, Alyson gained invaluable experience participating in the Laskin Moot and the Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic. Alyson also founded the Dalhousie Criminal Law Students’ Association and served as a member of the Schulich Social Committee, including acting as President in her final year.
