Teagan is an accomplished litigator with expertise in public law matters, appellate advocacy and commercial litigation. Her public law experience extends across a broad range of subject areas including professional regulation and judicial discipline, higher education, elections, energy regulation, transportation, securities, sanctions and other regulatory and criminal matters.
In her commercial practice, Teagan handles breach of contract claims, shareholder and fiduciary disputes, fraud and defamation matters. She has experience in both litigation and arbitration proceedings, and her litigation practice has taken her to administrative tribunals, all levels of court in Ontario, the Federal Courts and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Education has played an important role in shaping Teagan's career. She graduated from the Schulich School of Law Dalhousie University as the gold medallist and earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the prestigious Harvard Law School. Her LL.M. studies were supported by the CBA Viscount Bennett Fellowship and J. William E. Mingo Memorial Fellowship.
Teagan also gained valuable insights on the judicial process as a law clerk to the Honourable Justice Rosalie Silberman Abella at the Supreme Court of Canada.
