Sean maintains a diversified litigation and dispute resolution practice with a focus on commercial litigation, administrative law, and appellate advocacy. He has experience advising clients in shareholder disputes, transactional litigation, fraud recovery, and contractual and tort disputes.

Sean represents domestic and international clients, both public and private, across a broad range of industries including mining, natural resources, and banking and financial services.

Sean has appeared as counsel before all levels of court in British Columbia and in the Federal Court of Appeal.

Outside of his practice, Sean sits as the President of the Vancouver Bar Association and volunteers as a mentor with the British Columbia Branch of the Canadian Bar Association.

  • Acosta v. Middlegate Development Ltd., 2024 BCSC 732 - counsel to the respondent landlord on the successful dismissal of an application for judicial review of a Residential Tenancy Branch decision.
  • Reynolds v. Deep Water Recovery Ltd., 2024 BCSC 570 - counsel for the respondent on an application under the Protection of Public Participation Act to dismiss a Counterclaim.
  • RGN Management Limited Partnership v. 7th Light Education Group Inc., 2023 BCCA 333 - counsel to the respondent on cross-appeal on a successful application for security for costs of the cross-appeal.
  • Middlegate Development Ltd. v. Acosta, 2023 BCCA 459 - counsel to the appellant landlord on an appeal from a judicial review of a Residential Tenancy Branch decision.
  • Deep Water Recovery Ltd. v. Reynolds, 2023 BCCA 204 - counsel to the appellant on an application for a stay of proceedings.
  • Trainor-Degirolamo v. British Columbia (Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development), 2022 BCCA 306 - counsel to the appellant on cross-appeal from a judicial review of a decision of the Minister of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development to grant a license of occupation.
  • Nguyen v. Ly, 2022 BCSC 2347 - counsel for the petitioner tenant on an application for judicial review of a Residential Tenancy Branch decision.
  • Canada (Environment and Climate Change) v. Ermineskin Cree Nation, 2022 FCA 123 - counsel to the respondent on an appeal from a judicial review of a decision of the Minister of Environment and Climate Change to issue a designation order under subsection 9(1) of the Impact Assessment Act.
