Loni has a commercial litigation and dispute resolution practice, having varied experience in handling energy industry disputes, commercial tenancy matters, director shareholder and accounting disputes, securities-related defence and regulatory matters and intellectual property related disputes.

She regularly assists and advises clients on:

  • Commercial tenancy matters;
  • Securities-related regulatory investigations, complaints and litigation;
  • Environmental contamination and pest management regulatory matters;
  • Liquor and gaming regulations;
  • Energy industry disputes;
  • Director Shareholder and accounting disputes;
  • Trademark infringement and opposition proceedings;
  • Patent litigation; and
  • Class actions and appeals

Loni has appeared before all levels of Court in Alberta and the Federal Court, as well as a number of administrative bodies, including:

  • the Alberta Securities Commission (ASC)
  • the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO)
  • the Trademark Opposition Board (TMOB)
  • the Municipal Government Board
  • the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER)
  • the Alberta Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Commission (AGLC).
