Keegan defends hospitals, healthcare organizations and professionals against allegations of professional misconduct and negligence in both civil and regulatory contexts. He also represents corporate and individual clients in a broad range of commercial disputes, including contract disputes, product liability claims and class actions.

Keegan regularly advises clients on matters related to medical devices and technology, regulatory compliance, incident reporting, adverse events, physician credentialing, privacy, disclosure and risk management.

Experience

  • Counsel to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers in the defence of various proceedings involving allegations of medical negligence and professional misconduct, including jury and non-jury trials, appeals, complaints, investigations, motions, and inquests.
  • Counsel to a hospital in the defence of a class action relating to data breaches by former employees.
  • Counsel to a pharmaceutical company in the defence of a product liability class action relating to a drug used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease.
