Tamara assists clients with business succession planning, corporate matters, wills, estate and trust planning, estate administration, and not-for-profit and charity matters.

Within her robust practice, she has a broad range of expertise in various corporate transactions, including experience in administrative and governance issues commonly faced by not-for-profit organizations.

Tamara has completed the part I and part II (group study) of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants’ in-depth tax course.

Before joining BLG as an articling student, Tamara also completed the National Committee on Accreditation requirements at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2007.

Tamara provides legal services through a Law Corporation.

Experience

  • Advises and implements corporate reorganizations of closely held Canadian companies.
  • Advises on tax-planned wills for high-net-worth individuals involving complex tax, estate and family situations.
  • Advises on estate administration, including applications for grants of probate and grants of administration.
  • Advises on incapacity planning, including representation agreements and enduring powers of attorney.
  • Advises and establishes inter vivos and testamentary trusts.
  • Represents purchasers and sellers in connection with share and asset sale transactions.
  • Advises charities and not-for-profit organizations regarding establishment, governance and obtaining and maintaining charitable registration.
