Allyson is a seasoned law clerk who assists clients leasing space in commercial open-air plazas, shopping centres, industrial units and office buildings. Allyson has worked on the tenant, landlord and property management side and understands legal processes related to development, redevelopment and land conversion.
Her main duties at BLG Beyond Leasing are:
- Reviewing, drafting and processing offers to lease, leases, amendment and extension agreements, subleases, assignments and consents to transfer;
- Client liaison between opposing legal counsel and the BLG team, assisting in negotiation;
- Legal review and research pertaining to leased premises and retail projects;
- Due diligence pertaining to corporate and title searches, franchisee deals or Notice of Lease registrations on title; and
- Developing and refining precedent templates for clients, other specific projects for leasing matters.
