Austin maintains a robust disputes practice with a particular focus on labour, employment, and estate matters. Austin advises both unionized and non-unionized employers on a wide range of issues including hiring, dismissal, workplace policies, collective bargaining, privacy and human rights. Austin also acts for clients involved in estate, trust and capacity disputes.
Prior to joining BLG, Austin worked in investigations and discipline at a professional regulatory body in BC. During his third year of law school, he was a student law clerk at the Cour supérieure du Québec.
Austin is fluent in French, and holds both common law and civil law degrees.
