Max is an associate in BLG’s National School Boards Practice. He maintains a broad practice with a focus on labour, employment, education, and human rights law. Max advises and advocates for clients on a range of issues, including:
- Employment standards, human rights, and workplace accommodation
- Employee discipline and termination
- Employment contracts and workplace policies
- Labour relations
- Education law matters
Max represents employers in proceedings before courts, labour arbitrators, labour relations boards, and human rights tribunals.
Prior to joining BLG, Max summered and articled at a boutique management-side labour and employment law firm in Toronto. While in law school at the University of Toronto, Max worked as a research assistant for the Scholl Chair in Health Law and Policy, led a working group with the International Human Rights Program, and competed in the Callaghan Memorial Moot, where he was awarded 2nd Place Oralist for outstanding oral advocacy.
