BLG is committed to supporting you with your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) needs. We are pleased to offer ongoing virtual sessions through the year to help you fulfill your 12 hours of required CPD.
Please join us for two exciting and unique presentations to close out our 2023 BLGU In-House Counsel Series.
To start, we have Kristyn Annis and Marlena McMurtry providing an update on the federal government’s low carbon fuel standard, which became effective in 2023 pursuant to the Clean Fuel Regulations. They will also provide a comparative analysis to British Columbia’s low carbon fuel standard regulations, which pre-dates the federal program. Whether you are a primary supplier, importer of fuels or a credit creator, this important update will be of interest to you. In addition, if you are a potential credit creator – companies that are looking to transition their fleets to EVs or hydrogen powered vehicles – you will learn how to monetize your activities in the energy transition.
Following that, we will have Kalie McCrystal speaking to the group about Global Trademark Strategy – Seeing the Big Picture.
Developing and managing a global trademark portfolio can be daunting, particularly for GCs that do not have experience with intellectual property. In Kalie’s session you will learn practical insights into developing a holistic trademark strategy, managing foreign trademarks, and key tips and pitfalls for effective brand protection in Canada and abroad.
We look forward to having you join us! Please respond by November 23.
