Hessam maintains a broad disputes practice, with a focus on commercial litigation and international and domestic commercial arbitration. He advises clients across various industries including energy, transportation, IT, mining and insurance, among others.
Hessam was involved in a number of significant international arbitration proceedings as co-counsel, legal advisor and tribunal secretary in Canada, Europe and Iran. He has assisted clients on matters governed by various institutional sets of rules, including the ICC Arbitration Rules, the UNCITRAL Rules, the SCC Arbitration Rules, the HKIAC Administered Arbitration Rules, and the VanIAC Domestic Arbitration Rules.
Prior to joining BLG, Hessam worked as an attorney at law in Iran. Hessam joined BLG as an Associate after articling with the firm.
