Gabriel specializes in construction law and his practice focuses mainly on major infrastructure projects and contractor claims. He represents and advises owners, contractors and surety companies with regard to all aspects of the construction industry and engineers’ professional liability.
His clients count on his expertise to find practical solutions to complex, high-stakes problems. Gabriel is particularly interested in questions related to:
- claims for extras and impact costs
- calls for tenders
- guarantees
- licensing and permit requirements
- legal hypothecs
- legislation applying to construction, such as the Building Act and the Act Respecting Contracting by Public Bodies
He also prepares litigation matters and pleads before all judicial bodies in Québec, favouring alternative dispute resolution when possible.
