Tyrone is an articling student at BLG’s Toronto office for the 2023-24 term. He summered with BLG Toronto in 2022 and has a special interest in disputes.

 Tyrone completed the extensive Dual JD program receiving a JD in both Canada and the United States.

Tyrone served as the President of the Student Law Society, the Vice President of Advocacy for the Black Law Student Association, Windsor Chapter, as well as a moot coach to prospective law students in the annual Justice Lloyd Dean Moot. He also created the first Black and Indigenous Law Student Scholarship at the University of Windsor raising over $10,000 in three months. For his innovative leadership, Tyrone received multiple equity diversity and inclusion awards including the Royal Society of Canada’s inaugural Justice Rosalie Silberman Abella Prize given to law students who are most likely to positively influence equity and social justice in Canada or globally upon graduation.

Prior to joining BLG, Tyrone worked as a summer law student at a legal aid organization in Detroit, and as a project manager for a construction company in Toronto.

Tyrone chose BLG because of the supportive firm culture and the tightknit national network. He also really values the Firm-wide commitment to mentorship, professionalism, and community empowerment.

In his spare time, Tyrone enjoys creating memories with family, and staying active at the gym.
