Toronto (September 8, 2023) – Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) welcomes John-Paul Alexandrowicz to the firm as partner and co-chair of the National School Boards Practice, adding to our labour and employment team’s strong business acumen and client-first approach.
John-Paul’s practice focuses on representing school boards and school board associations in labour arbitrations, labour board and human rights proceedings, collective agreement negotiations and education matters. He is recognized for his knowledge of school board operations, often appearing in school board trustee meetings to provide insight on complex matters. Practicing in both English and French, John-Paul has represented and advised the majority of public, Catholic and francophone school boards in Ontario, both directly and through their provincial school board associations. John-Paul has also acted for a number of independent schools across the province.
In 2022, John-Paul was elected as a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, a non-profit professional association that honours leading lawyers in the practice of labour and employment law.
