As a Summer Law Student, Marianna is assisting lawyers on a wide variety of tasks within our Business and Disputes groups.
Prior to attending law school, Marianna received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Manitoba and worked for the Manitoba Government’s Pharmaceutical Policy Unit. She continues practicing as a community pharmacist.
During Marianna’s first year of law school, she advocated for her class as a 1L Representative and planned educational events for the Intellectual Property & Technology Law Group. Marianna also researched in the areas of health law and elder law and completed a pro bono legal research project on liabilities related to harm reduction. She is the incoming student representative to the Manitoba Bar Association for 2024-2025.
Marianna was inspired by BLG’s leadership in health law and the efforts the firm takes to build up a collaborative and caring team in its Calgary office. Through conversations with BLG students and lawyers, Marianna saw the mentorship and growth BLG offers and the firm’s commitment to excellence in all areas.
In her spare time, Marianna enjoys travelling, cooking, baking, and exploring new restaurants and coffeeshops.
