As a Summer Law Student, Dena is assisting lawyers on a wide variety of tasks within our Business and Disputes groups.
During Dena’s first year of law school, she volunteered with the Manitoba Law Reform Commission through Pro-Bono Students Canada where she researched the treatment of digital assets under testamentary law. Dena was elected as the MLSA Visible Minorities Representative for the 2024-2025 academic year and is the incoming University of Manitoba Representative for the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers. In both positions, she will advocate for the interests of the BIPOC and Pan-Asian law students in Manitoba. Dena is also the Co-Founder and Co-President of “Legal Lens,” a club that explores the intersection of law and photography.
Dena was drawn to BLG because of the firm’s commitment to legal excellence, mentorship, and fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment. She was also impressed by the firm’s strong focus on student development.
In her spare time, Dena enjoys playing soccer, cooking, and hiking with friends.
