Focusing on banking and financial services as well as commercial real estate, Mathieu deals with a wide array of issues, including setting up sureties and entering into guarantees in all kinds of financing operations and in the acquisition, assignment and financing aspects of real estate projects.
Prior to joining BLG, Mathieu worked at a boutique Montréal firm specialized in real estate, where he was involved in major acquisition and financing transactions related to projects in Québec.
During his studies, he also worked in a major Canadian rail carrier’s legal department, and articled with Cour supérieure du Québec judges.
