Daphné focuses primarily on litigation and specializes in bankruptcy and insolvency, financial restructuring and banking law.

She represents clients before various courts of law, advising them during proceedings under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act, among others. Notably, she assists creditors, lenders, and financial institutions regarding debt restructuring.

Before joining BLG, Daphné worked at a major regional firm where she practised commercial litigation and health law. Her experience includes shareholder disputes, construction bond cases, extraordinary remedies and private international law matters—areas in which she maintains a keen interest. Before that, she also worked for the federal government as a policy analyst.

Experience

  • Participated in restructuring matters under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) providing legal counsel to companies operating in the real estate and food production sectors in Québec.
  • Assisted creditors, debtors and court officers with receiverships under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA).
  • Advised clients on obtaining Norwich and Mareva orders.
