François Morin’s practice focuses on tax law and covers all aspects of wealth management. As a result of mandates from trust companies and a range of wealthy individuals, François has acquired expertise in everything relating to income tax issues, particularly with regard to wealth preservation and transfer of wealth to future generations, including planning involving family trusts, offshore trusts and other types of estate planning, as well as international tax planning.
François has represented clients before tax and civil courts. He has also advised clients on all income tax and consumption tax (GST and QST) issues relating to various domestic and international transactions.
He was a member of BLG’s Partnership Board from 2008 to 2011. He was also a member of the Regional Compensation Advisory Committee from 2001 to 2014 and a member of the Regional Management Committee in 2007.
