Franz practices in the Environmental, Municipal, Expropriation and Regulatory group, with a focus on environmental compliance and disputes, municipal planning, and land acquisition and expropriation.
Franz assists and represents individuals and corporations relating to various disputes including contractual, regulatory compliance, environmental prosecution and tort claims.
Prior to joining BLG, Franz was an environmental scientist assisting with the completion of human health and ecological risk assessments in support of applications for large mining and infrastructure related projects. Moreover, Franz has experience with completing phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments relating to the purchase of residential and commercial properties. He also has experience assisting with the completion of Risk Assessments for the purpose of filing a Record of Site Condition (RSC) under Ontario’s Environmental Protection Act, as well as O. Reg. 153/04 promulgated under the same.
