Scott is a lawyer and patent agent whose practice focuses on patent drafting and prosecution, and portfolio management.
His practice covers a wide range of software and hardware, including quantum computing, artificial intelligence and machine learning. He has developed expertise in drafting and prosecuting cases relating to computer-implemented inventions and is a resident expert in subject matter eligibility. He works with clients to manage international patent portfolios and advises on filing and prosecution strategy. Scott also has experience in IP due diligence for corporate transactions.
Scott is on the editorial board for Dead Cat Live Cat, a website dedicated to education and information on quantum technologies from the perspective of technology, finance and law. His Masters research included the study and integration of inertial navigation systems with GPS, advanced digital signal processing techniques and hardware design for developing a hybrid land vehicle navigation system.
