National (January 27, 2025) — The Partnership Board of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is pleased to announce that David Di Paolo will assume the role of National Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer, effective as of July 1, 2025, succeeding John Murphy.
David’s legal career at BLG spans more than 25 years, and he has held several leadership positions within the Firm including as a member of the Firm’s Partnership Board and National Management Committee. Most recently, he served as the National Group Head for BLG’s Disputes Group, overseeing BLG’s national team of disputes lawyers while playing a key role in the overall management of the firm.
In his practice, David is a Chambers Band 1 ranked commercial litigation partner who specializes in securities and capital markets litigation. He has acted for some of Canada’s largest corporations in defending securities regulatory investigations and proceedings as well as all manner of civil litigation including class actions.
