National (May 11, 2023) – Borden Ladner Gervais LLP’s Disputes Group celebrated another impressive year of wins at the 2023 Benchmark Litigation Awards.
In addition to being ranked a “highly recommended firm” in all its regions across Canada, BLG was named:
- Class Actions Firm of the Year
- Construction Firm of the Year
- Insurance Firm of the Year
- Labour and Employment Firm of the Year
BLG also won an Impact Case Award for Fareed Pirani et al v. Haider Pirani et al.
Eighty BLG lawyers — almost a quarter of the firm’s Disputes team—were recognized by Benchmark at the awards event in Toronto. Sixty-four BLG lawyers were named Litigation Stars and 16 were named Future Stars.
Robert Deane was once again named Arbitration Lawyer of the Year. Québec Litigator of the Year went to Mathieu Piché-Messier, who was also named a Top 50 Trial Lawyer for the second consecutive year.
