The Stronger Together Award recognizes women lawyers who demonstrate leadership and promote initiatives that have positively influenced their communities, and are trailblazers in areas such as legal education; equity, diversity and inclusion; pro bono initiatives; and service to other community organizations.
Karine is widely recognized across Canada for her legal experience. She regularly acts for significant clients in litigation matters including class actions, conflicts between shareholders, governance, competition, securities, privacy, consumer protection and special remedies.
Karine is also known for her dedication to pro bono work. Since 2018, she has been a director and secretary of ESPACE GO, a Montréal-based theatre that has been critical in the emergence of women’s dramaturgy, and has served as director of the governance and human resources committees of Share the Warmth, a charity that fights hunger and poverty through a host of programs, where she reviews the organization’s bylaws and governance processes.
“I hope to use my passion in law to impact every touchpoint of our community. Working at BLG for over 10 years has allowed me to increase my impact in the legal industry. I am humbled and honoured to receive this award,” said Karine.
Karine is frequently recognized for her exceptional work that makes her a highly sought-after class actions lawyer in Canada. She was named a 2021 Lexpert Rising Star, and since 2017, she has consistently been named a Future Star by Benchmark.
