Toronto (December 15, 2020) — Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is pleased to announce the following leadership appointment, which will strengthen the firm’s ranks.
The Partnership Board has appointed Graham Walker as the firm’s new Group Head, Specialized Disputes. Graham is BLG’s current Managing Partner for the Vancouver office and the Insurance & Tort Liability National Business Leader. His practice focuses on shipping (marine and terminals) and rail law, as well as environmental law, insurance claim defence and general commercial litigation.
Graham is succeeding Cindy Clarke, who was recently appointed by the Partnership Board to the newly created role of National Group Head, Clients, Sectors & New Services.
BLG’s Group Heads have overall responsibility for the business plans, financial performance and client service performance for their respective National Practice Groups, sit on the firm’s National Management Committee and play a key role in the overall management of the firm.
“On behalf of everyone in the firm, I wish to congratulate Graham on his appointment,” said John Murphy, BLG's National Managing Partner and CEO. “His breadth of experience, combined with his current leadership roles within the firm, makes him a natural fit for the position and well placed to enrich BLG’s focus on client service.”
Graham’s term as Group Head begins January 1, 2021.
