Toronto (Updated April 6, 2020) — As COVID-19 continues to have an impact in Canada and around the world, we wanted to share an update on BLG’s efforts to ensure everyone’s health and safety, as well as the firm’s continued client service.
From the onset of COVID-19, we have gathered our Emergency Response Team who continue to meet regularly to proactively monitor developments in Canada and abroad, implement best practices and provide regular updates to our professionals and clients. BLG swiftly implemented its Business Continuity Plan to enable the majority of BLG professionals in all of our offices to work remotely. The firm is currently operating in an agile manner while continuing to serve our clients, even as most of us are working remotely, with the vast majority of issues being managed virtually using technology.
As the crisis we have been facing together is quickly evolving into an economic crisis, we are taking additional measures to manage the short-term impacts on our business and ensure a strong future once this crisis has passed. Our approach is measured to ensure fairness to our valued professionals and business support teams while delivering the same level of service to our clients.
Additionally, given BLG’s deep expertise in workplace management and health care, we understand the many challenges and uncertainties the COVID 19 crisis has created for our clients. BLG has developed a dedicated COVID-19 Resource Centre that provides information about the various implications of COVID-19 on businesses and their workforces, along with the contact information of the experts who are available to answer your have questions.
I hope this provides you confidence in the actions we are taking to safeguard our people, our clients and our communities in these challenging times.
Please stay well.
