Toronto (March 21, 2019) — Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) welcomes Kristyn Annis, who joins the firm’s Corporate Commercial Group in Toronto today. Kristyn brings significant experience working alongside clients in the energy and infrastructure sectors, advising Indigenous groups, developers and lenders on all aspects of renewable energy generation and transmission development.
Prior to joining BLG, Kristyn served as a policy advisor to the Premier of Ontario and Minister of Energy, and as in-house legal counsel to a renewable energy developer and a major Canadian banking institution.
“Kristyn has a broad range of experience within the energy sector, and her diverse perspective will be an asset to clients no matter what role they play in a project,” said Frank Callaghan, national group head of BLG’s Corporate and Capital Markets Group.
Fluent in English, French and Spanish, Kristyn assists clients in negotiating legal and economic partnerships, financing agreements, supply and service agreements. She also has regulatory expertise, and has represented various clients before the Ontario Energy Board.
