Experienced Partner Brings Expertise in Tax Planning and Dispute Resolution
Toronto (August 1, 2018) — Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) welcomes Bobby Solhi, the latest partner to join its Tax Group. Bobby will practice out of BLG’s Toronto office.

In Bobby's commodity tax practice, he advises Canadian and international clients in various industries on the GST/HST, customs and provincial taxes. He also has a very active tax litigation and dispute resolution practice, assisting clients with tax disputes at the audit, objection and appeal stages. He has appeared before the Tax Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Appeal.
Additionally, Bobby also provides tax planning advice to privately held companies involved in business transactions on tax-efficient ownership structures, reorganization and business succession planning for their owners.
Bobby obtained his LLB from York University, Osgoode Hall Law School in 2008 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2009. Prior to joining BLG, Bobby led the Commodity Tax Practice as a partner at a boutique tax law firm. He has also worked with the Ontario Ministry of Finance in the Corporate and Commodity Tax Branch.
