Éloïse Gratton honoured by the Barreau du Québec
Montréal (August 4, 2017) — Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is pleased to announce that Éloïse Gratton, has been awarded the Advocatus Emeritus distinction. This award is handed out by the Barreau du Québec to its members who have distinguished themselves by achieving excellence in their careers, as well as by their outstanding contribution to the legal profession and their inspiring community involvement.

Éloïse Gratton is one of Canada's foremost experts in the field of privacy and is recognized as the "go to" person, relied upon nationally by both federal and provincial privacy commissioners and by the federal government, as well as internationally. She has published several books on IT and privacy issues, which have been cited by the Supreme Court of Canada in some of its landmark privacy decisions. She was recently recognized by Lexpert® with a 2017 Zenith Award — Celebrating Women in Law and she was named "one of the Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers in Canada" in 2016 by the Canadian Lawyer magazine.
Éloïse is joining the ranks of other proud recipients of the Advocatus Emeritus distinction, including, among others, BLG's own Alexander De Zordo (2016), Danny J. Kaufer (2016), Jacques Laurent (2016), Alex K. Paterson (2010) and Guy J. Pratte (2012).
