BLG is committed to supporting you with your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) needs. We are pleased to offer ongoing virtual sessions through the year to help you fulfill your 12 hours of required CPD.

Please join us for two very timely, and practical sessions from our BLG team. Our attendees will gain practical knowledge in these topics:

First up, we will have Benedict Wray and Laura Levine give an update on Modern Slavery Reporting in Canada following the new reporting obligation for businesses operating in Canada which was implemented in 2024. Since implementation, there has been significant discussion and debate as to the application of the legislation and how to properly report. They will present an update on the developments that have transpired since the adoption of this new legislation, lessons learned, answers to FAQ and tips for the next reporting cycle.

Following that, Denes Rothschild and Candice Kloes will present on New laws against greenwashing in Canada – why it’s important and what you need to know. During this session, they will discuss the recent changes to the Competition Act, which significantly increase the risks to businesses making public facing environmental benefits claims.

We hope you’ll be able to join us for these impactful presentations.
