Julien Boudreault  


Executive Summary

Julien Boudreault focuses his practice on dispute settlement, with an emphasis on litigation and arbitration in public law and class actions and appellate advocacy.

Prior to joining BLG, Julien served in 2018-2019 as a law clerk at the Supreme Court of Canada to the Honourable Madam Justice Suzanne Côté. During his law studies, he interned at the Superior Court of Québec under the supervision of Justice Suzanne Courchesne.

Prior to his law career, Julien worked as a journalist and researcher for various regional and national media outlets (print, radio and television). 

Representative Work

  • ​Assists in preparing leave applications before the Supreme Court of Canada.
  • Is part of the team that represents Conférence des juges de la Cour du Québec before the Supreme Court of Canada in the reference regarding the constitutional validity of the Québec Court's jurisdiction.
  • Is part of the team representing the Canadian Pacific Railway Company in the class action and other claims related to the Lac-Mégantic train derailment.
  • Participated in the drafting of various legal opinions related to privacy and data protection.
