Haya is a lawyer and Canadian patent agent practicing in our Intellectual Property Group at our Toronto Office. Haya’s practice centres on protection of global patent portfolios and commercialization of intellectual property rights.
Haya has a background in medical physics and mathematics. Her practice includes patent prosecution and drafting for cases in both the United States and Canada. She is further involved in securing broader worldwide patent protections for clients by regularly corresponding with foreign counsel to establish patent rights outside of Canada and the United States. She specializes in a variety of subject matter areas from software to wastewater treatment, including electrical, metallurgical and mechanical technologies, and has a heightened interest in quantum computing.
Clients rely on Haya to conduct and provide IP due diligence and analysis with respect to corporate and financial transactions. She also drafts and provides advice in connection with all aspects of licensing and assignments of IP in the context of business dealings and commercialization.
