Alla is an articling student at BLG’s Toronto office.

In law school, Alla was the co-president of the Feminist Legal Society where she led and organized various events pertaining to women in the law. During the 2020-2021 school year, Alla was the first-year student council representative advocating for students in her section. As well, she organized and led a 2-week orientation for current first-year students. Alla designed and participated in an environmental law lab where she researched and co-authored a report on international trade aspects of provincial and federal climate action legislation in New Brunswick. Prior to working at BLG, Alla has held several legal research positions as well as working for a not-for-profit family center. In her last year of law school, Alla worked for the Career Service Officer by conducting student mock interviews, editing cover letters, and offering advice on various recruits including the 2L Toronto Recruit.

Alla’s interest in BLG was reaffirmed when she spoke to several BLG associates about their experience. She chose to work at BLG because of the firm’s commitment to diversity, mentorship, and collegial environment. She is excited to enhance her skills and explore different practice groups within business law during her articling term.

Alla is from Halifax and in her spare time she enjoys hot yoga, exploring new restaurants around the city, and spending time with family and friends.
