Executive Summary

Laura is the Coordinator, Corporate Services Law Clerks in our Toronto office.

In her role, she coordinates career management, capacity management, performance management and talent development programs for our paraprofessionals.

Laura has 30 years of experience as a senior law clerk in corporate services, transactions, securities and regulatory compliance. She has assisted with mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, tax-driven reorganizations, share and asset purchases, private placements, private equity, arrangements, restructurings and all aspects of corporate services including incorporations, corporate changes, continuances, amalgamations, dissolutions, corrections, extra-provincial registrations, business names, not-for-profit corporations, charity registrations and formation of trusts, partnerships and limited partnerships. She is an experienced AML compliance officer and privacy officer. Laura worked with Corporations Canada on its initial e-filing service offering in 2000-2001 and with Cyberbahn to develop a national PPSA registration service in 2005. She also recommended privacy enhancements for TSX SecureFile which were implemented in 2006.

Laura is fluent in English and French and speaks Japanese, Italian and German.
