Adam Shipowick is a land use planner at BLG. He has a broad scope of experience related to land use and urban planning. He has extensive experience dealing with all of the pertinent planning documents that shape and define Provincial and Municipal policy.
He is responsible for advising lawyers at BLG of applicable planning regimes, analyzing policy options, preparing formal memoranda and letters, generating supporting arguments and documents for complex legal and planning matters. He provides research assistance and planning rationale, fact finding and due diligence work for a number of practice groups. A significant amount of his work involves the preparation of planning documentation for OMB/LPAT, TLAB and expropriation proceedings. Additionally he is involved in various project management roles which require consistent monitoring, client and stakeholder relations, and the preparation of related deliverables.
He also attends public meetings on behalf of clients and meets with politicians and city staff to present and discuss development proposals. These interactions have helped him develop strong interpersonal acuity which is essential in facilitating development and policy processes.
