Executive Summary

Stephen Shaddock is a senior associate with our Team North® and Labour and Employment Group in our Ottawa office.

Stephen provides legal advice to individuals and organizations operating in Canada's north, with an emphasis on legislative, regulatory and policy matters.

His practice also includes all aspects of labour and employment law in Ontario and Nunavut, including human rights and employment standards matters.

Stephen has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Federal Court of Appeal and various administrative tribunals, including the Human Rights Tribunal, License Appeal Tribunal and Landlord and Tenant Board.

Prior to joining BLG, Stephen worked with a regional firm in Ottawa in general litigation and provided advice on labour, employment and human rights law matters. More recently, Stephen worked in Nunavut as Policy Counsel and Director of Policy and Planning with the territorial government's Department of Justice.
