Darcy McKitrick  


Executive Summary

Darcy is an Associate in our Corporate Commercial Group in our Vancouver office. Darcy’s practice is primarily focused on transactional work, with an emphasis on project development and project finance, private company mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and Aboriginal engagement related to project development. She also assists clients on a wide range of commercial matters including business structuring, financing and regulatory issues. 

Upon completing her JD at the University of British Columbia, Darcy was selected by a committee of her peers to receive the Raymond G. Herbert Award for best all-around graduating student. Prior to law school, Darcy danced professionally with Ballet British Columbia. 

Representative Work

  • Assists in representing proponents and lenders with respect to project development, financing and all phases of infrastructure and energy projects.
  • Advises both buyers and sellers in connection with private, middle-market acquisitions and divestures across Canada.
  • Assists in advising lenders and borrowers with respect to secured credit facilities and other forms of financing.
  • Represents private companies with respect to corporate structuring and internal reorganizations.
  • Assisted in advising both industry and First Nations clients in various types of engagement, including project development, land use, consultation and governance.
  • Advised private companies, partnerships and other entities on a variety of commercial matters in industries including impact investment, carbon management, health and wellness, responsible resource development, technology, manufacturing and distribution, professional services and social entrepreneurship.
