Executive Summary

Catherine Lussier is a partner in our Commercial Litigation Group. She has wide experience in civil and commercial litigation, particularly in the areas of class actions, commercial fraud, high tech, intellectual property rights, and competition law. She also has experience in product liability and in the areas of professional liability of architects and engineers.

Representative Work

  • Defends national class action cases, in which she represents both Canadian and foreign clients.
  • Has worked for plaintiffs in preparing and executing seizures before judgment, injunctions and Anton Piller, Mareva and Norwich orders.
  • Has acted as independent supervising counsel in civil and commercial matters and particularly in the following areas: fraud and piracy, identity theft, high tech litigation, unfair competition and respect for intellectual property rights.
  • Participates in preparing cases for trial and pleads before all courts and tribunals in Québec.
  • Advises and represents clients in cases involving commercial fraud, high tech, respect for intellectual property rights and competition law.
  • Advises and represents clients in product liability cases.
  • Represents and advises owners, contractors, sub-contractors, bonding companies and insurers in matters involving all facets of the construction industry, calls for tenders and the professional liability of architects and engineers.
