Maude Longtin practises in the Labour and Employment Law Group in the Montréal office.
In her practice, Maude deals with all aspects of labour and employment law, as well as with occupational health and safety matters, for small, medium and big businesses, whether unionized or non-unionized.
She advises employers regarding the hiring and firing of employees, disciplinary measures, individual and collective layoffs, staff evaluation (re performance, absenteeism and presenteeism), all types of employment-related investigations, the interpretation and application of collective agreements and employment contracts, labour relations, occupational health and safety, and human rights.
Maude is also regularly called upon to defend the interests of employers before the
Tribunal administratif du travail (in labour relations and occupational health and safety cases), as well as before the civil courts.
Ms. Longtin holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the Université de Montréal. She was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 2014, and since then has practiced in the field of labour and employment law.
During her university studies, Maude was a member and captain of the Université de Montréal's "Carabins" alpine ski team. She won a place on the Academic Honour Roll of the Université de Montréal's excellence in sport program. She was also awarded a scholarship by the "Fondation de l'athlète d'excellence du Québec" and three sports bursaries from the Université de Montréal for sports and academics.
