Jesse Goldman practises in the areas of international trade, investment, customs and commodity taxation. His reputation is based on providing strategic advice to domestic and international clients and governments designed to maximize their commercial opportunities from international trade and investment. He advises clients on all matters relating to Canadian and international trade law, including trade remedies, NAFTA and WTO matters, customs compliance, cross-border commodity and service taxation, trade and border security, and regulatory issues impacting the cross border movement of goods across a wide range of sectors, including manufacturers of industrial and consumer products, energy, aviation, automotive, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture.
Jesse has been counsel of record in over 100 trade remedy matters and active counsel in numerous high-profile international trade and customs cases litigated before Canadian courts and tribunals. He has been at the forefront of international trade and trade policy issues affecting Chinese exporters and importers of Chinese goods.
Jesse serves as the Vice-Chair of the International Trade Committee of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association ("IPBA"). He is a Canadian delegate to the International Chamber of Commerce ("ICC") Commission on Customs and Trade Facilitation, and the Business Investment Advisory Committee ("BIAC") China Task Force Working Group.
