Manon focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate law and health and life sciences. She acts as lead lawyer in acquisitions and sales of private corporations, capital investments and joint ventures.

Manon has led or participated in numerous transactions in several industry sectors, such as:

Manon also acts as counsel for public healthcare establishments, research institutes, pharmaceutical companies, private corporations involved in the healthcare sector and healthcare professionals.

Experience

  • Involved in several real estate transactions, with respect to partnership establishment and real estate property acquisition, including the acquisition of a 50% undivided interest in Montreal’s 2.6 million square foot Quartier DIX30 South Shore Retail Centre, Canada’s second largest shopping centre, including assumptions of existing financings.
  • Advised senior residences’ owners and operators with respect to partnership establishment and the development and acquisition of seniors’ housing residences.
  • Participated in transactions in the field of dentistry and veterinary medicine.
  • Involved in the acquisition by Famar Group of a division of a Canadian pharmaceutical company.
  • Involved in the sale by the shareholders of Harmonium Corporation to the Lallemand Group.
  • Involved in developing the corporate structure of and concluding commercial agreements relating to hydroelectric and wind farm projects.
  • Lead counsel for venture capital funds, including BDC Capital Inc. and the Fonds de solidarité FTQ, in a number of investments.
  • Represented Bell Canada in the acquisition of Le Groupe Créatech.
  • Participated in the Bell Nordiq Income Fund’s $326-million initial public offering.
  • Involved in the sale of La Ronde by the City of Montreal to the US corporation Six Flags.
  • Advised pharmaceutical companies in major commercial projects involving health professionals.
