Executive Summary

Maude Galarneau's specialty is labour and employment law. In particular, she has acquired expertise in matters of termination of employment, labour standards and psychological harassment, and regularly advises employers on all aspects of the employer-employee relationship.

An experienced litigator, Maude regularly represents employers both before the Administrative Labour Tribunal and the civil courts. Maude has notably made numerous representations before those decision making bodies in cases involving the Labour Standards Act, its application and its different remedies. In that regard, she has been called upon to assess the risks associated with such disputes and to advise her clients as regards their legal position.

Maude practices in both English and French. She is also regularly called upon as a presenter on various topics in employment law and good management practices.

  • Maude has frequently pleaded before the Administrative Labour Tribunal, as well as the civil courts.
  • She has also conducted a number of conciliation and negotiation sessions.
