Andrew Baker is an associate in the Toronto office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. He practices administrative law and civil litigation with an emphasis on environmental, expropriation, planning, and regulatory law. He also represents clients in litigation involving real estate disputes and professional liability insurance.
Andrew advises clients in a variety of expropriation matters before the Environment and Land Tribunals and the civil courts. He acts for expropriating authorities including municipalities, government agencies, and school boards with respect to multi-property acquisition strategy, dispute resolution, and parallel civil litigation. Andrew also regularly acts for expropriation claimants with respect to various large infrastructure projects across the GTA.
While attending law school, Andrew worked as a research assistant and held executive positions with McGill Law Students' Association and Business Law Association.
