Executive Summary

Louis Allard is a registered Canadian/US patent agent in our Intellectual Property and Technology Professional Group in our Ottawa office. Louis specializes in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications related to high tech, particularly Solar Energy, Lightwave Technology, Telecommunications, Electrical Circuit Design, and Mechanical Systems.

Prior to joining BLG in 2004, Louis had already acquired vast experience in high-tech technology through his work as a postdoctoral fellow at Université de Montréal, as a research assistant at the National Research Council, and as an optical designer at JDS Uniphase Corp. Louis has authored or co-authored over 25 scientific articles, and is an inventor on four US patents related to the measurement and control of polarization of light beams. He is fluent in French and English.
