About the Marcel Côté Award for Leadership in Public Policy

The Marcel Côté Award for Leadership in Public Policy was established to honour the former board chair of Canada’s Public Policy Forum. Mr. Côté was an economist and founding partner of SECOR Inc., which he helped build into Canada’s largest independent management consulting firm. Through this award, the forum aims to remind established and emerging leaders of the fundamental differences they can make in society.

The other recipients of the 2016 Marcel Côté Award are Marc-André Blanchard, Canada’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative for the United Nations, Louise Fréchette, Deputy Secretary-General for the United Nations (1998-2006) and Marie Bernard-Meunier, Guest Researcher at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs.
