Jessica Szabo is an Associate in the Health Law group in the Toronto office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP.
Prior to studying law, Jessica worked with female offenders detained in a secure forensic hospital in the United Kingdom while completing her MSc. in Forensic Mental Health Research. She then worked for a consultancy company that promoted better integrated care and health care outcomes and for people with mental health needs.
After completing her law degree, Jessica worked at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands as a Legal Assistant to the defence team of Jean Pierre Bemba. Jessica completed her articles and transitioned to Junior Legal Counsel in the Legal Services Department at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, prior to joining BLG.
