Vanessa Little  


Executive Summary

Vanessa Little is a patent agent trainee in our Ottawa office. She practices in our Intellectual Property group with a focus on patent drafting and patent prosecution.

Vanessa graduated from Saint Mary's University with a B.Sc. Honours in Chemistry, throughout which her research focused on the synthesis and characterization of new triazene derivatives of piperazine. Vanessa continued her studies at Queen's University; and, in 2013, was awarded a PhD in Chemistry for her work on hydrogen storing technologies for vehicular application.

Prior to joining BLG, Vanessa worked as a patent specialist for a not-for-profit organization committed to the development and commercialization of green(er) chemical technologies; and, in conjunction with external counsel, managed patent portfolios for the not-for-profit organization and its clients.
