Executive Summary

Maria Gergin is a senior associate in the Toronto office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. She practises labour and employment law and education law. Maria advises employers on a wide range of issues, including workplace harassment investigations, employment standards, policies and contracts, wrongful dismissal claims, health and safety, and human rights issues. Maria has completed the Employee Internal Investigations course at Cornell University ILR School.

One of the focuses of Maria's practice is mental health in the workplace, including the accommodation of mental health conditions, the investigation and management of workplace conflict, and the promotion of employee psychological health in the workplace. Maria is a certified Canadian Mental Health Association Psychological Health and Safety Advisor.
