Laurie Goldbach Joins BLG’s Calgary Office
Calgary (October 2, 2017)— Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is pleased to announce that Laurie Goldbach has joined the Tax Group as a partner in the Firm’s Calgary office.

Ms. Goldbach’s practice focuses on tax litigation and tax dispute resolution. She has extensive trial and appellate advocacy experience and regularly appears before all levels of courts in Alberta, and has appeared before the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Canada and the Supreme Court of Canada. Prior to practising tax litigation, Ms. Goldbach practised commercial litigation with a focus on oil and gas and regulatory litigation.

BLG’s Tax Group is composed of over 60 professionals across Canada, including lawyers and Chartered Professional Accountants. The tax team works on standalone tax mandates in addition to being trusted advisors on matters across all of BLG’s practice areas. BLG’s tax lawyers have a wide breadth of experience, both domestic and international, on all areas of tax law including inbound and outbound structuring, commodity taxation, litigation, investment funds, reorganizations and restructurings, insurance taxation, employee benefits and pensions, and trust and estate litigation.
BLG’s Tax Disputes Group can advocate for clients at all stages of a tax dispute, including the audit stage, the administrative appeal stage, and before Canada’s tax courts.
