Toronto (March 1, 2019) — Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) has been named one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers. This award recognizes employers across Canada that have exceptional workplace diversity and inclusiveness programs. BLG is one of 75 businesses across Canada included in this year’s list.

BLG was one of the first Canadian law firms to appoint a full-time National Director of Diversity and Inclusion. Our diversity and inclusion efforts are led by Ms. Moshiri who, in consultation with our Diversity and Inclusion Council, works to develop and execute our diversity and inclusion strategic plan and to ensure that the firm takes a pro-active approach to diversity and inclusion in every aspect of its operations. Ms. Moshiri also acts as a strategic advisor to the firm’s National Management Committee. The firm’s inclusivity policies and programming, as well as its focus on raising awareness and creating accountability for diversity within the leadership team were some of the key reasons BLG was recognized.
Now in its 12th year, this competition recognizes employers across Canada that have exceptional workplace diversity and inclusiveness initiatives in a variety of areas for women, visible minorities, people with disabilities, Indigenous Peoples, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
